its basin, the Jessamine County Fiscal Court established the Jessamine
County Kentucky River Task Force in 1999.

Mission Statement

To
develop, preserve, and maintain the vital and unique viewsheds
in Jessamine County working in cooperation with federal, state,
and local agencies along with adjoining counties.

The
Jessamine County Kentucky River Task Force takes on the task
of placing dozens of historic markers along the bank. Each
numbered marker corresponds to an entry in the Kentucky
River Boating Guide which was published by the Task Force.
