Joint Planning Commission
Jessamine County and the City of
Wilmore have adopted zoning ordinances with the intent, purpose
and scope to promote and protect the health, safety, morals
and general welfare of the County and City of Wilmore and
to protect existing agricultural and residential land uses
by empowering it to regulate the location, height, size and
use of buildings and other structures, and the use of land
for trade, industry, residence, or other purposes.
Comprehensive Plan Goals and Objectives
To provide for the harmonious and orderly development
of Jessamine County in accordance with the Comprehensive Plan
for Jessamine County and the City of Wilmore.
Applications and Forms
All applications for appearance before the Planning Commission
or Board of Adjustments must be submitted to the Planning
and Zoning Office twenty-one (21) days prior to the day of
the scheduled meeting of each Board. The
Joint Planning Commission meets the second (2nd) Tuesday of
each month. The Board of Adjustment meets the third (3rd)
Thursday of the month.
