FREE E-WASTE COLLECTION in February 2008

Johnetta Ogden is the Director of Environmental Services, overseeing the operations of the County-wide Recycling Center and the Jessamine County Recycling Convenience Center. She works to assist property owners in cleaning up open dumps. She also investigates complaints regarding road side littering. She works in conjunction with Jailer Cecil Moss and the Jessamine County Detention Center in roadside debris pickup. Jessamine County works with PRIDE and Bluegrass PRIDE in obtaining funding for clean-up projects.

Items accepted: metal, wood, furniture, carpet, tires, appliances and shingles

CHARGES ARE AS FOLLOWS:

  • $25.00 for level pick-up truck load
  • $15.00 for ½ pick-up or small truck
  • $5.00 per appliance
  • $10.00 per item with Freon
  • $2.00 for passenger tire
  • $30.00 for level pick-up load of shingles

Note: we are a drop-off facility.  We are unable to provide pick-up.

Cardboard baling: no charge,
Oil & car batteries: no charge, but must be taken to Road Dept.
