May 4	Sunday Afternoon Swing Dance, at High Bridge Park Pavilion, High Bridge, KY.  3-7 pm.   Featuring music by the MetroGnome Big Band Orchestra. Swing dance lesson, 3-4 pm, dancing from 4-7 pm. $5 person. A collaboration between Nicholasville-Jessamine County Parks & Rec and the UK Swing Dance Club.  Click here for more info.

May 9	WINE AND VINE FEST GOLF SCRAMBLE The Kentucky Wine and Vine Fest Golf Scramble will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, May 9 at Connemara Golf Club in Nicholasville. Registration is $75 per player. Prizes awarded. Call Russell at (859) 885-4331.

May 8	GRAPE GROWERS BARBEQUE & DANCE The Kentucky Wine and Vine Fest Grape Growers Barbeque and Dance will be held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, May 8 at the R.J. May 9	WINEFEST DINNER & DANCE A Wine Dinner and Dance will be held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, May 9 at Chrisman Mill Winery in Nicholasville. Tickets are $50 and include dinner and a wine tasting featuring Kentucky wines. Medals for the amateur wine-making competition and commercial wine competition will be presented. May 10	KENTUCKY WINE FEST The Kentucky Wine and Vine Fest, the Official Wine Festival of Kentucky, will be held on York Street in downtown Nicholasville on Saturday, May 10. Arts and crafts area opens at 10 a.m. Wine Tents open from noon to 8 p.m. with ten Kentucky wineries offering tastings. Tickets $10 for ten tastings. July 4	Wilmore's Festival of the Fourth Parade begins at 10:00am (line-up at 9:30am on College St. & Kinlaw Dr.) To participate in the parade, please contact Wilmore Parks & Recreation at 858-9031 or wilmorep@earthlink.net Festival immediately follows the parade (approximately 11:00am) at Wilmore Campground Crafters - contact Kelley Woolums at 885-4500 in order to sign up Free set up for crafters Spelling Bee Sign up at 12:15pm in the Tabernacle, contest begins at 12:30pm Age groups:  1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th grades Best Apple Pie Contest (adults) & Best Brownies Contest (youth under 16) – Please have entries to the dining hall at the campground between 8:00-9:30am.  Judging based on taste and appearance.  Entries will be consumed during the festival. Kids and Family Games Children’s Book Sale – In the Tabernacle.  Fundraiser for Community Service Center of Wilmore/Highbridge.
